No próximo sábado, dia 06, a Universidade Federal do Tocantins (UFT) sediará o Festival Dragon Pocket UFT, como parte das comemorações de aniversário da instituição. O evento apresentará diversas atividades, incluindo desfile de cosplays, feira de produtos de anime, competição de KPOP, batalha de swordplay e show da banda Vento Norte.
Pela primeira vez, a UFT receberá um evento com temática geek e cultura pop, organizado pela Proex e pelo Grupo Dragon Con, com o apoio da Direção do Campus de Palmas. O festival ocorrerá ao lado do prédio da Rádio UFT FM, começando às 15h.
A pró-reitora de Extensão, professora Maria Santana, afirmou que o evento proporciona uma excelente oportunidade para aproximar o público jovem da universidade, além de fomentar a integração entre alunos e a comunidade externa. Já o diretor de Assuntos Comunitários da Proex, Dimas Magalhães, comentou que, se a universidade deseja atrair o público jovem, é importante oferecer atividades que sejam relevantes para essa faixa etária, e que a temática das atividades do festival tem crescido bastante entre adolescentes.
